In previous years I wooda leaned over and picked it up cuz I was in a ground blind but I lost my lease, now I'm on public land so I'm in a treestand. If I dropped my bow to the ground I'd havta kick myself for not using my bowstrap. It attaches to my wrist on one end and the bow on the other.

FOOLPROOF?
Never underestimate the power of a fool!

What if the "Hokey Pokey" really is what it's all about?

Wait until the deer passed. Get my bow and go shoot it to check out the sights.

Take my gutting knife and slit my throat. Then hang myself with my safety strap. If that didn't work I use the same knife to cut the safety strap. If after falling to the ground, landing on the knife... I'm not to weak from blood loss... I'd gather my junk and go home.

I would climb down and spend the next half hour kicking myself in the ass for dropping it, then finding out what damage was done to the bow. Also you have to go and check to see what may have happened to the sights.

Sorry about the bad luck!!

See you at the bloody arrow...

I would definately not try to shoot at the deer. I guarantee that the bow will not shoot in the same spot as before, just too big of a chance of wounding a deer.
