I wouldn't be asking if it were possible, I'd be asking why anyone would do it? If you're going to shoot that far use a rifle. Bowhunting is about how close you can get not how far you can shoot.

In the intro to one of the hunting shows (I don't remember which one) they show a speed goat standing in the distance. You can't see the shooter from the camera angle, but the arrow comes into view and it must be 25 feet in the air in a huge arc. The arrow strikes the antelope at a very steep downward angle and doesn't appear to make much penetration. The antelope turns and starts to run and the camera shot fades out. I don't know if this is the particular instance of which you speak but it sure was a l-o-n-g shot.
