Shooting at running deer is not a good idea. It borders on the unethical, IMO.

Shooting at one running 20 mph 50 yards away is both unethical and insane.

I wouldn't shoot at one 10 yards away coming stright at me. Tomorrow is another day.

Ethics, ethics, ethics.
But what if you’re a good shot? I can hit a trashcan lid at twenty yards just about each time. So don’t be acting like I don’t know what I’m doing; ya hear!

I'm starting to question your agenda too KP and it could get you a time out.

Obviously, hitting a trash lid, ALMOST every time isn't good enough, in fact, it sucks. Sorry but that's tough love. A trash can lid is over a foot plus in diameter. Why can't you hit a 6" circle every time at 20 yards?

If that's the best you got then you shouldn't shoot at running deer, I question you shooting at standing deer.

How far would you have to lead a running deer with a bow? Let say at fifty yards, running at about 20mph?

[:o], They told you not to eat that mushroom and you did it anyways didn't you? [&o]

Wait, I know, you thought the forum was still down and it really wouldn't post didn't ya?

I'm going to predict that hunting over bait is the next post... or the values of high fence hunting... maybe do carbon suits work... nope, I'm going to go with Uncle Ted!

Man I thought you guys knew me better…

It’s all in fun dudes, all in fun.

Truth is, my confidence is down this year after dropping my bow last year and had trouble getting it back in shape. I’m hitting a pie plate at forty, but no better than that, and no, I wouldn’t shoot at a running deer.

I’m going to buy a new bow, but not before this season. Don’t really have time to fool with a new bow.
Have fun,
KP
