Sept. 1st in my part of SC also, got a spike for my first deer Sunday.

Been out the last two weekends but it has been so hot here all the elk are buried deep in the trees.I have hiked close to 15-20 miles already with only spotting two cows so far.

Here in CA the season started Aug. 18, and the last day is Sept. 9. Just 4 more days left, and not a thing in the freezer yet!!
