My license here in NC isn't really that bad. I usually get my sportsmans license which covers Satewide fishing and hunting for residents during a license term. Also includes the privileges of hunting for big game; hunting with primitive weapons during the special seasons, hunting on game lands, hunting for waterfowl (does not include federal duck stamp), fishing in designated trout waters and fishing in trout waters on gamelands. (Does not include Coastal Recreational Fishing.) All for a small fee of $40.00

Here's the types of licenses I've purchased in the past or applied for the lottery for. It varies every year depending on what seasons I can get time off to hunt.

Resident Adult Hunting - $20
Resident Bear - $16
Resident Special Wild Turkey - $21 (Lottery)
Resident Archery - $16
Resident Muzzleloader - $11
Resident Migratory Game Bird License - $3
Federal Duck Stamp - $15
Resident Antlerless Deer License - $6 (Lottery)
Resident DMAP Anterless License - $10 (Some Are Lottery)
Resident Elk - $25 + $10 Application Fee (Lottery)
Resident Adult Furtaker - $20
Resident Bobcat Permit - $5 Application Fee (Lottery)

This year it cost me $72 and I'm able to hunt small game, coyote, 1 antlered deer, 1 spring gobbler, 1 fall turkey, and 4 antlerless deer in the archery or firearm seasons.

I live in Oklahoma and bought my Lifetime Hunting/Fishing license last year. It's $775.00 for the combo and $625 for just hunting. Otherwise it's $20 for annual hunting license and $20 per animal. It stacks up quick!

As described by martinjaguar........we get a lot for $40 here in NC. That price includes my trout stamp......(but not a coastal fishing license)......and we can now take umlimited does from private lands.

2 antlered - 4 antlerless on original license.....with extra doe tags available for no cost.

$27 Bowhunting tag limit 1 deer
$27 for second anterless tag
$12 for additional anterless tag
$27 Shotgun tag limit 1 deer
$27 Muzzleloader tag Limit 1 deer

Don't quote me on this because it is always changing here in Iowa...
