I rated myself below average because I rarely practice at more than 25 yds and don't have much time to go to a range to shoot. I can shoot 2 inch groups consistantly at 25 yds but I rate myself below average because I don't have a clue what I can do past 30 yds.

I rated average..like most of us, we can hold our own in the back yard and prob on the range...what matters is how confident you feel when the "chance"to put down an animal comes and you complete the task to your own ability...I rarely shoot at animals past 30 yd due to the fact conditions change after 30 yds...

good shooting everybody

Red Lion - I really don't have a good feel for what would be considered "average" across the spectrum of all archers out there. Hitting a 2" target at 20 yards, a 4" target at 40 yards, and a 6 to 7" target at 60 yards is a high percentage shot for me and several of my companions. Are we average?

Yes, it was a blast..... How many Mosquitos were involuntarily killed on the arrows path to the target? :D

For bowhunters, I am very good. On the 3D tournys... I'm better than average (which is how I voted). Have a few trophys and almost always finish in the top 10%... and I shoot my hunting rig exclusively. I think I could move into the very good region if I practiced range guesstimation more and even took some professional lessons on release and form. While I'm confident I don't have terrible form, I'm sure a couple of pointers on minor things could polish me up nicely. I reckon I have potential.
