whats your favorite release?

True Fire Hurricane glove. The jaws close around the string on there own and stay closed. The glove has very little strain on the wrist and feels like you are pulling far less weight than you actually are. Very smooth release with no "hard" spot in the trigger pull that some releases can have.

True Fire X-Caliper.
It has two methods of releasing, a.)Pull the trigger to fire; b.)Relax To Fire. It is hard to make the relax to fire an automatic reflex but after a few weeks. All I need to do now is THINK about releasing and it goes off. It is True Fire's answer to the Back Tension Release and in my opinion better suited to hunting and MUCH easier to learn.

For me there is only one to even consider the Scott Mongoose I have used one ever sine they came out with it and no problems at all. Nothing to learn just pull the trigger and it goes off can be adjusted to be a hair trigger if that is what you like.

I personally like the TRU-Ball Stinger. It tucks away for climbing and is very adjustable. I like that the springs hold the jaws closed until you clip it onto the string or fire it, rather than the other way around.

Right now I'm using Scott Lil' Goose. Before that I used a Scott Caliper. Before that I used 3 fingers and a Kant Pinch tab. They're all good.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Mine is the Cascade model 8. Have two at the present time (never hurts to have a backup of anything). I also have a model 10 but like the 8 better. Calipers and trigger fingers just don't get it for me.
