haven't had time to scout
Been a super-busy year and looks Like I may miss opening week here in NC - Sept is typically our busiest month all year and I have been in the woods twice all year too look at land no scouting - my benefit is I use climbers exclusively - so my first few times out will be for observations - the land I have permission to hunt has a few creeks and with the temps the way they have been - this will be my first spot to check out - how would guys handle if in my shoes

RE: haven't had time to scout
Have you hunted it in the past or is this the first time?
If you've hunted it in the past, use your experience and knowledge. Most of the time the deer will be in the same areas over and over again...usually.
If your hunting it for the first time, go in after light and scout as you hunt. I'd hate to go into a new property in the dark and bumble around. More specifically I'd hunt late afternoons into the evenings for scouting purposes.
