I am going to scout a couple of places out this weekend. Bow season opens here on September 15. I am a newbie hunter, so any tips on what I should look for would really be appreciated. This will be public landand I will be hunting from the ground.
I know to look for food supply like acorns and corn, and I know that water is always a good thing to find, but any veteran tips would surely help me out. The more specific you are, the better!

I am not an expert on this but what I look for is poop/beds so you know where they are bedding. Then I try to find their food source and set up on a trail leading from bedding area to their food source. Hope this helps. Good lucks this season!

Well I was going to pass on some hot spots depending on where you might have lived. Sorry, Mo, I've only scouted a few areas never hunted there. Good luck this year. Post the big one for us.
