I have a buddy that lives about 25 minutes from the Whitehouse that is eaten up with deer. He and his neibhors are going crazy having their plants and yards eaten. I now have sole permission to hunt the land (Archery Only). Here is the buck in his backyard that I have a mineral lick in. I can't wait for October 6th.

Your area of Northern VA is flat ate up with deer.

Down in tidewater it is starting to get the same way. Lots of these big, private and sometimes gated neighborhoods that have a covenant requiring a minimum of 5-10 acres to build a house on are getting over run with deer.
