Finally got the setup pieced together and was able to screw my broadheads of choice on my Maxima Hunter 250's. This year I have decided to shoot the new Muzzy MX-3's. I initially was going to shoot Rage and go with a mechanical for once. Then I came to my senses
. You honestly can't beat the dependability of a fixed head. After deciding that, it was between these MX-3's and Montecs. I have to be honest here, price played a BIG role in this decisions. Montecs are pretty darn expensive. 3 MX-3's at a shade over $10, I couldn't beat it.
As I said, I finally got out and shot them today, they fly absolutely great. I was also pretty impressed with the design, and not to mention the sharpness wasn't bad at all. I have to say, there is not ONE single thing I would change about these heads. It seems like, blazersfor instance, shorter and higher profile seem to work pretty well. As soon as I assembled these heads Blazers came to mind.
Overall, they are absolutely AWESOME heads, for all of you fixed blade shooters, give these a HARD look.

Yes I work at a shop, that wasn't the point though.
Mauser, honestly I have NEVER worried about my FOC, never calculated it, not once. However, this year I am shooting Maxima Hunter 250's. So far I like them. Personally though, the whole "Weight Forward Technology" seems to be majorly marketing hype. I can't complain I'm getting good results with them, and broadheads out to 60yds.

then why mention that u paid $10...u had everyone salivating
the muzzy head, to me, is the best head out there...they simply kill deer. a bad shot with a mechanical is a kill with the muzzy...they just about always blow through

I just bought some broadheads today from an online store that was selling muzzy 100 gr. for 10.00 but I bought 2 packs of rocket wolverin 75 gr. for 35.00 now thats a bargain.
Oh and to brag on the muzzy 4 blade 90 gr. I shot a doe a couple years ago spined her at 20 yards the broadhead severed the lower 1/2 of the spine and blew out the other side with about a foot of arrow exiting. Now thats a good head.
