Tonights Dinner- Backstrap
 

So what did you eat tonight? Wife cooked some smothered (Onion, Mushrooms and Bell Pepper) backstrap. Cut in 2 inch pieces.
Sides were rice and broussel spouts. Incredible....need to make room in freezer for new meat.

Roast beef sandwich. The wife cooked it all day yesterday in a crock pot...MMmm it's delicious.

Mmm, backstraps sound good right now! I lost the rest of my deer meat a few weeks ago when we got some nasty weather and lost power for 11 hours. [:'(] On the bright side our early antlerless season is only about 2 1/2 weeks away.

Know the feeling. I am from New Orleans and lost four deer to Katrina. SSSSSucked!! Last year got five more to refill the freezer. Down to about 1 1/2. October 1 opens bow. Need to make room.
