wrap masking tape around your hand sticky side out and let it roll over you body. the ticks will stick to it.

that is all ticks. If you noticed them on you at the instant it happened you would have seen that brown mass and then you could watch it desperse about your legs!

MO_Bowhnter is right on the money I not only spray my pants I also spray my jacket, shirt, pack, and boots. Ther eis a smell when you spray it but it dries oderless. The can says to spray every 6 weeks. I spray the 1st of every month. starting September 1st. This is even lasts through a couple of washings.

I've gotten into those boogers several times, they are bad around here. When I get into them I feel the tub up with water and add one cup of bleach, this will kill them and then take a credit card and scrape them off while I'm in the tub, then rub down with alcohol. Get ready you are going to itch for the next 3-4 weeks.
