Tribute vs. Drenaline

I didn't say I have never shot one. I said I have never owned one. Trust me I had plenty of opportunities to shoot mathews bows because everyone I knew owned one. Including my Brother-In-Law, who's bow I shot pretty often. Don't get me wrong, Mathews makes a great bow (One of the best for sure). I just always enjoyed showing up with something different everytime we met for a shoot. I def. didn't mean to cross anyone the wrong way here. I was just simply stating that it seems like everyone In WV shoots a mathews. Unlike, other places such as IL where I live now, there seems to be a more diversified market everywhere else. However, I wouldn't expect anything less from my Brother-in-law he is a Mountaineer fan!!![:'(]
Again, No hard feelings guys. I was Just commenting on something I have always wondered about.

So Herd you won't buy a Mathews because your buddies drove you away form them but you've never shot one, seems a shallow to me. But what can you expect from a Marshall "fanboy".

All I can say is WOW!!! My dad came over the day I received the MeanV so I could compare. My Tribute is now as quiet, if not quieter than his Dreanlin and my Tribute is faster so I am very satisfied with my choice of bow. I will take another video of me shooting the bow in the coming days so you can hear the difference for yourself.

I agree with everyone else. I shoot a Guardian which is by far the quietest bare bow i have ever heard, and I put a meanv2 string suppresor on it and i can barely hear the bow when i shoot it. They work that good. The only noise i hear is the arrow hitting the target. PM meanv2 on here and get one of those on your tribute. I bet your dad's jaw will drop when he hears how quiet your bow is.
Looks like you already got one. I Hope you like it.

whitetail,
Knew you wouldn't be disappointed with the Mean V on the Tribute.
One word of CAUTION: Do not, I repeat, do not, take off your factory string suppressors.
A lot of people told me that with the Mean V I didn't need them, and my bow would be a little faster.
Well, IMO, it made a high twangy sound without them that I hated and definitely wasn't worth the few
fps (if any). I had to play around with cat whiskers, and I still don't think it is as quiet as it was before.

Been shooting a Dren since Mid January, and loving every second of it. I had my riser powdercoated black, after having an issue with the finish. I lost my warranty on the riser, but the limbs are still covered. I shoot with a CSS, Bowjax, and Cat Whiskers. The bow is super quiet; and the performance is good as well. At my 28" DL, I shoot a 405gr Carbon Force Radial X Weave at 270fps, and thats a 64lb DW. I used to shoot an XT before, and never really got a long with it. I shot the 2007 bow, Cardiac, Guardian, Commander, Vectrix and Vulcan, and a slough of others, and the Drenalin is hands down my favorite!
