Default Question about avatar

I'm trying to upload a picture I have for my avatar but it says the file is too large. Does anyone know if you can reduce the file size to make it work? Thanks for any help.

If you take your picture and load it into paint. Then go to IMAGE at the top and then click on SKETCH/SKEW. Then type in a lower number in the top 2 boxes and it should make it smaller. Hope it helps!

It still didn't work. I was able to get the pic below 145x145 but it still said the file was too large. If anyone else has some suggestions that'd be great. Otherwise oh well I guess. Thanks again.

Is your file a bitmap or jpeg image. If it is a bitmap, it will likely be too large. If so, open it in paint, and choose save as. On the lower box below the name of the file, choose jpeg.

open it in paint, image resize type in like 40% for each H and W. If it is still too big repeat but do it with the original down to like 35%. WITH THE ORIGINAL each time. So save avatar size as sumthing else do not overright.
