Default acorns

I'm noticing the acorns dropping in my area but i'm not sure yet if its going
to be a heavy year or light year as far as the amount that will drop . How is the acorn crop in your area ? heavy or light ?

I see a lot of red oaks that have them this year. I've actually seen some dropping already, not sure why. I've also seen some white oaks that have them. That's a good thing.

Due to the drought here, a lot of the red oaks are dropping already, but the acorns are still green and look under-developed. We've gotten some decent rain over the last week, though, so I'm hoping that'll help...

Been dropping here for over a month! But we have had drought conditions all summer,up until the last couple of weeks.......I don't think there will be many left by Oct.

here in VA we are not going to see a large crop, but it will be sufficient. We will see lots of deer though since the winter was so incredibly mild. I am predicting the state record is broken this year...and I have a hunch where that may be. (just for a side note. I cant hunt the property with the huge buck on it, but have seen it and know a friend who hunts the land).

Not going to be a mast year here in Virginia. We had some late frosts last spring. Never good for the oaks. I'm seeing some acorns, but less than last year.
