Rage vs. Practice tip
I shot this at 50 yards one was a rage 2 blade and the other arrow is a practice tip. I was aiming at the middle dot.

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
Good thing this wasn't a fixed blade BH - probably would have lost some fletching. Nice to know . . . . I was trusting they would hit the same, but never confirmed it.

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
It looks like it is shooting good. Question, I just got the Rage 2 Blade last week, are you shooting the practice tip that comes with it(blue one that doesnt open) or an actual sharp Rage 2 Blade? And is it ok to shoot only the practice tip, or should i also shoot the actual broadhead?

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
My RAGE 2 broadheads should be on my doorstep when I get home! Hope they shoot like that for me too.

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
Hey one more thing...shoot one of those RAGE broadheads into an area with little holes and pull it out then take a picture, wanna see what the hole looks like.
|
RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
I got the same results a 50 yards. They are the real deal. That's some nice shooting at 50 yards too.

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
My wife and I each shot two Black Bears in Alberta last May. Take my word for it. The entry and exit holes were incredible. I have been shooting Rocky Mtn Titaniums and G5's the past couple of years, but not anymore. I am sold on the Rages.

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
good going on practicing with the head you plan to hunt with. I never go into the woods without testing the equipment first.

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
Nice!
After looking REAL close, I could finally make out what look to me the blade cuts.... looks like the arrow on the right was the Rage and the other was the field point. Diehard I'm taking you mean "practice point" not as the rage point (since you lost it), but as a "field point" correct? |

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
very nice, i'm starting to like the looks of the ragesmore and more. I want to compare the 3 blade rages and my current head, g5 strykers, in field this year. my only question is do the blades lock in the open position once they open?

RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
I shot my practice tip about 6 times yesterday and it didn't shoot any different than my field tips.
Very impressed! |

My only question about the rage bh's, What happens to the O-rings after a shot? Do they break, or get lost?
|
RE: Rage vs. Practice tip

I thought about trying them but I was a little concerned since I only shoot 60 lbs. too. I called them and they said 60 lbs. was plenty

Same head and slightly less expensive.;) I have been shooting otherheads for the past few yrs with good results."Just want to try something new"[&:] But don`t see much difference in these heads at all other than maby a wider cut, The Rage 2 blade has a 2inch cut where the Rocky Mt sniper has 1 3/8 cut Which ismore than enough to getthe job done. I checked BPS-price on these heads? Rage 2 blade $34.99 and the Rocky Mt Sniper $29.99 so iwill assum the extra cut on the rage is the difference in the price? |
RE: Rage vs. Practice tip
ORIGINAL: diehardhunter No when when you pull them out of the target the blades fold forward. |
