Do you Hunt over Bait?
All the debates about baiting, id like to see some numbers
|
RE: Do you Hunt over Bait?
not that much though only a couple of apples off our apple tree...just to get them to stop in a shooting lane...not massive piles of bait

RE: Do you Hunt over Bait?
Not legal in New York. I don't physically put bait out butI sure hunt next to standing corn, soybeans and apples as much as I can. Since they are planted as agricultural crops it is not considered baiting according to The New York dept of conservation

RE: Do you Hunt over Bait?
If you call bean fields, crab apple trees ,or acorns bait then yes, other wise,no.
It is legal in Ky and I have in the past but not in a long time. |
RE: Do you Hunt over Bait?
It is legal here but it won't help where I hunt; too many apples, soy, and corn around. I don't bother.

RE: Do you Hunt over Bait?
Nope! Just hunt deer sign.

RE: Do you Hunt over Bait?
I do it to help the deer out after winter. I started my feeder in late February. The deer hit it good in late winter and early spring. But I am surrounded by corn fields and beans so come fall it has no effect, they have all the fresh food they want around them. I would say my area is 75% fields and 25% woods. I only baited in the fall the first year two seasons ago and it sat on the ground and molded. Last year they stopped using it in September and I did not fill it until late February.
