LT,
Go to the first post and click on link. After it comes up look to the right side. It is the second one down, called Irrevocable Decisions.

Its most definitely an eye opening situation. The worst part about it [I think] is that it was a friend who shot the young man. The remorse he'll feel for the rest of his life would be incredible.

That was pretty messed up!!! It amazes me how someone could mistake a person for a deer...

One of the reasons why Imake some vocal noises when I'm coming out of my stand at night and whyI turn my flash light on even if I can still see with out it...

First time I have ever quoted, let alone AGREED with you, Longbeard. I do the same.

Sad, Very sad.

That should be an eye opener for everyone who walks out into the woods. So sad. Why any one would ever shoot at a noise is beyond me. I feel for his family.[&o]

Guys, I do not even see the story on the page. Can someone send me the right way to view this?

LT you don't wanna view it.. It's a story of a guy who shot his friend to death in the dark. Cause he thought he was a deer. It shows the interview with the shooter, the deceased's wife, other friends.. I wish I wouldn't have watched it.

I have enough fears of walking in and out of the woods in dark conditions. As bad as being shot with a gun would be.being ripped open by an arrow would be worse.

It's only a deer folks.. be it Pope and Young, Forkhorn or doe.. Positively identify your target and background..if in doubt even .01% don't shoot..Nothings gonna change the outcome once the projectile is on it's way.

That is absolutely a senseless and needlesstragedy. When I started deer hunting years ago while a teenager there was always a couple of these fatel accidents each year (I honestley don't think it should be declared a accident). You would think by now that with the hunter safety courserequirements we have this SH$T wouldn't be happening. Unfortunately some things will never change

Why? I am at a loss for words. I just wish you could get into some peoples heads to see what they are thinking sometimes. It says alot about the family willing to make avideo like this, overcoming there loss to try and save a life by hoping people will learn something from watching it. I really wish this video would be a requirement in every hunter saftey class accross the country.

Heres to Jimmy and knowing that he's still chasin' the big one in heaven.

I saw the whole thing. Man is that a bad situation.

I've definetly had the hee bee jeebies a few times walking out of the woods on public land.

I turn on my flash light and I don't care who has a problem with it.

Tom
