A Big Thank You Bowtech
#1
Last Friday night I had the pleasure to meet Jay Fondren a Dissabled Vet from Iraq who was blown up by a road side bomb.
I was asked if I would set up aGuardian that was given to him by Bowtech, thank you for your support of our troops.
What does one say when asked such a question except hell yeah it is my pleasure to do that for some one who put it all on the line and paid a heavy price so I can sleep safe at night and do the things I love to do.
After setting the bow up I had young Jay come to the Bowtech trailer on Saturday morning where I spent a lot of time showing him how to shoot the bow and the wide eyed look and grin from ear to ear when he took that first shot brought tears to my eyes.
Jay is an outstanding young man full of life even tho his was nearly taken.
During the course of the Texas Trophy Hunters Extravaganza I spent a lot of time with Jay and arranging a few little surprises for him including a hog hunt at the Sycamore Creek Hog Hunting Ranch, thank you Troy and Lisa for doing this for Jay.
We will be taking Jay on his first bow hunt Sept. 21/22 along with a film crew so every moment can be caught for Jay to relive over and over, I just hope I can hold my emotions in check when he sticks his first hog
But in all honesty non of this would not have eventuated without Bowtech stepping up to the plate and giving him the Guardian great job to all those at Bowtech for making that happen.
Thank You BOWTECH
You have made a young mans dreams come true
Here is a pic of me handing Jay his new Guardian all set up ready to shoot for the first time.

Thanks as well go to Jay as well as Bowtech, it's great to see a company that gives back and invests in the people that drive this industry. Very few manufacturers do this these days...........it's nice to see.

Wow, what a cool story!!!! It is nice to see companies step up and do the right thing, way to go Bowtech!!!!
Jay paid a large price to ensure our freedom and this is one neat way to give something back to him. I know it is very small in comparison to the sacrifice he gave, but we need to show the upmost respect for our soldiers.

First and foremost I'll echo what everyone else has said, Thank you Jay, and God bless all of the men and women serving this country, past and present.
Thank you Bowtech for doing something rarely seen by any company these days, supporting our troops. That makes me even happier with the bow choice I made, as well as encouraging me to promote their products to other people.
Russel, you seem like a class act all the way and I think you did something really special. Thank you too.
We need more threads like these on this board and others.
