Default Has this arrow had it?

I hit the nock on this arrow and it splintered the shaft the splinter is about 1 mm wide and thinner than a piece of paper. No other damage done thats visible. I shot this arrow 3 times before noticing the splinter. Do you think its junk or will it be OK. Pic is kinda blurry.

K. just thought Id make sure it was junk. arrows arent cheap but the bill for an ER visit is a little more expensive than one arrow. I didnt know if such a small splinter mattered, thats why I asked. Thanks.

Take a look at GooseHunters hand pictures in the previous post "With the seasons drawing close" and ask yourself if you should chance using the arrow?I wouldn't use it in case it gets a stress crack in it and eventually it splits apart on you and it sticks through the side of your hand! [&:]

I saw his pics the other day and have checked my arrows after litterally every shot. The small splinter was overlooked 3 times, but not 4. Im scared to have something like that happen. Im pretty sure Im allergic to pain.

Its my first season using carbons, I have ICS Hunters, do you consider the arrow good or bad after a pass through on a deer?

If it is long enough, cut the shaft from the backend untill ALL the splinter is gone and refletch and use it as a practice arrow.

If it isn't,TRASH IT.

My arrow length is 1 inch shorter then my draw and I could still cut more if I wanted to.
