I gotta say tall. IMO - nothing is more beutifull than a tall even whitetail buck.

Mass is gnarly looking....which is also very cool. But if I had a messed up 10 pointer thathad athick ugly rack standing next to a nice, talleven 8 pointer with 12" G2's and 10" G3....I'm taking the nice looking buck for nmy wall.

This buck was shot illegaly but he's still an amazing creature non the less. I would take him over the buck in the second pick any day of the week.

I love the wide racks first. It's even better when it's tall. I hunt in Florida so it's notnear ascommon to have all the traits in one animal.

I like mass over height. To me a big heavy rack looks more impressive than a tall spindly one.

Bearklr, I don't know that I'd have a problem with either of those bucks.;)

I prefer a good symetrical rack, it makes no difference to me how tall or how thick, as long as its one that I will remember for the rest of my life. Like my first wall hanger.

If you're looking to harvest a high scoring buck always go with a tall tined deer versus a wide spread deer it will score better! But on the other hand there is just something about those freakishly thick racks that everyone loves.

Here are two bucks I'm keeping my eye on that represent both categories. These were taken on July 26th and they've both gained some tine and beam length since then. Interestingly enough...the buck with the mass always submits to the boss in front.

It really doesn't matter to me ... after all you can't eat the antrlers anyways but it would be nice to have the best of both worlds.
The chance's of seeing one like that in Michigan would be like hitting the lottery , it will never happen. :(

Its all about mass, so the thicker the better, the wider the better, the taller the better but im more mass and width then iam height
