Target lengths help
Im shooting a diamond at about 50 lb right now and when i bought it i never changed the sites at all, i just been shooting it the way it is and i am trying to meassure the lengths of the fake deer to where i am and then shooting a few times changing the sites to where i want it but i need some help.
I would like to know what a average length would be to practice some on for a 50 lb diamond bow and the arrows are 100 grain or soemthing like that.

and i do have 3 pin sight.
and ive been bow hunting for 3 years now and i've practiced alot but i got a new bow this last christmas and i only have shot it about 10-20 times for about 30 mins each time and i am getting pretty good acruacy at about 20 yards and i am trying to move back a little and me and my dad and his friends were just having a little fun shooting compeittion and we were at 25 then 30 then 35 then 40 than 50 and i was hitting it right in the middle and i want to go farther.
so if im hitting it good at 50 should i go to liek 60-70 or something.
i am trying to get good at all places that i have shots at in my stand and the other places i go.

Because of past shoulder problems, right now I’m pulling about 54 lbs - 100 gr tips (244 FPS)… I hunt in many areas where there are a lot of open areas so there are often times longer shot opportunities… I practice from about 10 out to about 60 – with the bulk of my practice time at the mid range and longer distances. I have my pins set at: 20, 30, 40, 50, 55

To be honest, I would limit myself to 50 at the ABSOLUTE MOST on an animal. And that is only if I was totally confident and had the best equipment out there. Personally, with my gear I'm goin with nothin past 40. But, as for you I'd suggest to shoot no further then 50 if you feel really confident (thats really pushing it). But, on targets launch'em 100 yards if ya really wanna!

I set my first pin for about 20 but it hits within an inch or two between 10-25. I am shooting 65# out of a hoyt ultra tec. with 50 # your arrows may drop more I would set your first and see how things work out
