I've had it happen before, it really sucks!
did hear of a buddy that put a rubber snake on the seat-but I don't know how it worked out for him.

I use wood ladders and haven't had the problem with squirrels chewwing on them. I did have one however that thought he was going to claim one of my stands as his. He would eat his nuts on it and try to run me off of it.

I did have a ladder stand that I put a 4" foam seat coveren with nogahide,I got in the stand be for light one morning,and something started squealing and moving.I almost jumped out of the stand,but just stood up and several flying squirrels camo out.that is all but one,he was a little flat.
it seems the had chewed a little hole in the bottom and made a nest inside.
after day light came there was a pile of foam on the ground.
something like that will wake you up.

Hummm....ive never had a problem like this with squirrels.

My climber comes out of the woods with me every night!

I have had squirrels climb up my leg before, does that count? Scares the little guys half to death wehn you move...it's pretty funny to watch.

big problem here.....i can get my 6 squirrel bag limit in a matter of minutes.
