Camo Choices..

I was at Wal-Mart tonight and their camo kind of caught my eye. Has anybody ever used this stuff? Seems like a pretty open pattern.

My main question though is, if you were to go with Predator Camo, what would you go with as far as what type of pant and jacket for the whole season. I may end up getting the winter stuff later in the year for predator hunting.
Also, Brown Deception of Fall Gray? Gonna be doin stand hunting. But may on the ground a couple times when I take my nephew out to see what he thinks about it. He will be old enough in a couple years here, to be able to pull back a bow good enough to kiill a deer.

That is kind of what I was wondering, seems that has happened with all the cheap camo that I have bought in the past. Fades very fast. That is why I was wondering about the Predator choices as far as what top and pant to go with.

If you worry about fading, you can soak the garment in hot salty water. It helps set the colors. Cheap dye will still fade more over time.

What? You consider Predatory to be "Cheap sheeeet"? or just the wal-mart stuff...I already have waterfowl clothing by the way

You can pretty much count on,when it comes to hunting you get what you pay for. Took me a long time and a lot of waisted money to figure out.... Finally learned my lesson.

Ive used the walmart camo and will use it again this year, (Im buying new, it does fade quite a bit). The camo I use during hunting only gets washed 3 or 4 times during the season. Being that the walmart brand is so cheap, like $20 for the pants and a shirt, I get about 3 or 4 sets for the season. I wash them in scent killer detergent on in cold water, then spray them with Autumn scent and bag up each set in its own bag. When its time to hunt grab a bag of clothes and go. Its usually cold enough that I dont sweat much and what little is there gets covered from the cover scent. Thats just my 2 cents.

I would never be able to wash my close only 3-4 X I hunt a lot, every chance I get. After I sweat once, they get washed. Comfort is huge to me. I will sit a long X, and I must be comfortable.
Just me.

I know you didnt mention it but have you checked out the new Enigma pattern? It has been changed to break up your outline even more, and you can't beat the prices for the wolf skin material. Check it out. If your not interested in it I would go with the deception or fall brown. JMO.

One way to help with fading is to always wash your camo inside-out. This keeps the "camo" side from rubbing together a lot and wearing the outside of the garment out as quickly.

My WalMart is carrying Realtree AP. I'm kind of suprised, that's one of the hottest patterns this year.

I don't much worry about camo for deer hunting. Big blocky plaids in earth tones work just as well, don't blob out and don't cost nearly as much.

Dove, turkey, waterfowl and varmints? That's when I camo up and the Wally World stuff is just as good as any other for that.
