I am a school teacher, so I have time during the summer to gossip on hunting forums duriing the day if I so choose. My question is what do the rest of you guys do? Either you are all unemployed, kids, school teachers, or have absent or very understanding bosses.:D

I am very currious about this, so please share.

I am on a computer all day, so having this window up and checking out during the day is no problem. As long as it doesn't interfer with what I have to do.

I happen to be off right now. I am an electrician and we are currently low on work. We usually get slow for a couple weeks in the summer. I drive a bucket truck and fix outside lights. In the summer the lights aren't on as long so less of them go out. We had work last week for 3 days and I worked 6 hrs today. Thanks for the concern. Don't worry I more than make up for the few hours that I am off when winter comes.

I am an Insurance Agency Owner who typically only checks in while eating breakfast in the morning,while at my desk eating at lunch time or in the mid to late evening.My work days are typically 10 to 11 hours long.I am on the phone a lot and on hold a lot,so I will go in while I am on hold a few times a day.
I am on vacation this week,my wife and daughter are beach people,I am not.So I exercise,read,and spend time here.I am on Martha's Vineyard right now.

I have an office set up that only I can see the screen. He actually thinks I am very busy. To be honest I don't think my boss even knows my name. Eveyone around here just refers to me as the fat kid in the HR office.

for one I am 13 I don't have to pretend to be an adult I just sit on hunting net. com and listen to teachers still trying to teach me something , sorry but schools out. You can also be a member even if your not an adult.

not sure what you mean by this statement? Please explain!...but uh, i guess i could possibly fall under this category? I'm leaving for college sept. 3rd...oh and yes i have a job, I Work part time at an archery shop.

im a college student. been working full time landscaping...this morning i was walking out the door and got a call...:dont come in we arent working...too wet" my other buddy that i work with got the call too..hes full time year round and the boss told him he may want to put in for unemployment just incase things dont pick up...the week is 20-30% chance of rain...i dont understand it...but my buddy says he thinks they ran out of work for the time being...[:@][:@][:@][:@] i was looking forward to blowing my last 3 checks! watch...tomarrow my string will come in and i will have to work all day while i had nothing to do today except mow grass and chop firewood[:@][:@][:@]

I'm on vacation this week. Just gave two weeks notice two Fridays ago, and start a new job on the 13th, so I'm covered until then. After that I'll have to come online late at night since I'll be working straight evenings and no vacation time in sight until next year.:(

I am a transporation/environmental planner. I work on a computer all day long, and my superiors work less than I do! We all get our work done anyway, and that is what counts

I'm in the same boat on the first part. I'm on the puter all day so I just jump a back and forth to see the newest posts. Now as far as the second part goes....I can't honestly say it doesn't infefere with my work. :eek:

I use CAD to draw residenial blueprints.....so hunting.net is just another screen opened on my computer.Boss is coming...no problem, minimize!

BTW - Hunting.net owes my company around $75,000 for the work I didn't get done because of this website.

I work for an environmental consulting firm, so I'm mostly on a compluter all day and how I have my office situated, my boss can't see my computer screen, so he thinks I'm busy. As long as I get my work done, I don't think he cares what I'm doing. But right now, I'm not very busy either, so I'm on here alot. Trust me, I wish I was doing more field work than sitting in this office.

I work in a lab. And do all sorts of optics tests all day. But I automate them with programs I make, so alot of the time, I have to wait for tests to finish, and I have like10 computers all over. So there is a computer within 2 feet ofeverywhere I am. So when bored, here I am.

I have yet to find "employment," but I am pressure washing every other day. With a combined truck and insurance payment of $260 a month, I'm making a profit of an average of $77.39 a day, I'm rollin in the money!!!

Ive got one of the coolest bosses in the world, he lets me come in to work when I want, leave when I want, take a break when I want, as long as I get the work done he dont care!. I even get to go HUNTING whenever I want, did I mention I have one of the COOLEST bosses in the world. I work at Performance Auto & Arms Inc. I work on cars and guns, and boy I got a COOL boss!!!, if you havent guessed by now, " I AM THE BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!.

I work in a factory 10 hours a day, so you only see me in the afternoon. I asked this question on another site and got hammered for it. They took it really wrong and jumped all over me.

I only work 4 days a week, so I am on here more on a Fridays. My girlfriend lives with me now, so not as much I normally would have been.

And my internet should be shut off any day now, so I don't know how much longer I will be here. Sucks being poor;).

How did you get hammered? Were they overly deffensive of the question? My question was out of curiosity and was meant mostly for laughs. Seems as though that is how most have been taking it. I wonder what was different when you posted it.
