only 10 deer on your hunting property, (3 yearling bucks, 2 yearling does, 3 mature does, 2 shooter bucks) which one(s) would you take if you could, and the limit was 3 deer (either sex) per season?
Please explain.

I would only take one mature buck, one mature doe, and one yearling doe. I feel the yearling doe is expendible because surely the three remaining does (two of which are mature) would be inpregnated and eventually have offspring.

With a 20% death rate to all deer NOT taken by hunters.....I'd want to keep as many does (and deer for that matter) alive. I wouldn't shoot any.

How big is this hunting area? And what is around it too? That would make a big difference on what to shoot. If you’re hunting a 5 acre patch next to a huge state park with no hunting, then you can probably do what ever you want. But if your hunting 40 acre spot in the middle of a town, you will have to be careful.
