Default Why....

Did you start hunting to begin with? I mean even if you were a kid, why did you start?

Seems some have lost sight of the vision.

I think its a natural thing that every man is born with the desire to be in the elements with Gods creation trying to outsmart the oponent. I remember begging to go with my Dad when i was real little and begging to go by myself when i got older. I have always had the desire to go and this may not answer the question but i dont know why i started it came naturally.

Loved animals and nature. Loved being outdoors with a purpose. Loved exploring. Loved the excitement....still do.

I started at about 12 with an old Ithaca 12 guage. I thought hunting would be pretty fun because i see my dad, grandpa, and my brothers hunting and they were always having a good time. Then a couple years later i started bowhunting.

Antlers
Do you ever just set and think about all that is around you and not just antlers? Do you ever just enjoy being out there without the antlers?

I don't know exactly why, but my step dad introduced me to it when I was around 12. I started off shooting a BB gun, and before long I had my first .22, a bolt action Marlin, which is still one of the best shooting rifles I've owned. I started shooting squirrels with it, and just haven't looked back.
