new hunting area help
#1
i'm moving to a new house and it has a lot of hunting area behind the house and its open to the public, i dont want to go walking around 1 month before the season starts. i was thinking about buying a matrix for deer and turkey, but the land is a big hill and at the top it still looks like it was a small slope. i hunt on the ground only and last year i hunted out of natural blinds at my old area. so should i buy the DB?

Personally I dont care for blinds, I would rather set up an ambush site that is close to a trail, I go for the most natural looking spot that adding to wont change the area too much. One spot that comes to mind, two " dont know what kind they were" bushes grew about eight feet high and about ten foot around, I cleaned out the center, added some vegetation, made a couple shooting holes, and it turned out killer. I shot two does and a tom out of that spot a couple of years ago. I used a buddies blind last year and it seemed to have too many blind areas, also got too hot in there. Unless Im up a tree, " I go NATURAL".
