I could have told you it was a wolf on the first page and it would have made zero difference. While many of you have seen a large amount of coyotes, only a handful have seen a wolf. Those who have seen wolves have clearly stated that this is no coyote. I opened this up for discussion because I was interested to see how many would respond "coyote". However, there is no discussion as to whether this is a wolf or coyote.

James I have no idea about wolfves; I have never seen one in the wild.

It looked way bigger than any coyota I have trapped. I trapped a 45 lb once

I voted wolf. . .unless coyotes in Wisconsin look extremely different than the ones in IL.

Here is another pic of a wolf. This one surely looks like a coyote, but last time I checked, the Wisconsin DNR isn't putting radio collars on coyotes.
