set out a dish ofcrystalized fly poison mixed with a can of cola. this will kill them within 20 feet of the dish. just don't let your dog get near it.

I am a coonhunter, if anybody is having trouble with coon just let me know. I have a couple of hounds that can put them UP in style.

Only way you are going to get rid of them is to trap or kill them yourself. Trapping isn't free by any city. You will pay if you need somebody else to come do it (unless you have a friend who traps?)

Save some money and shoot them yourself if you can. If you decide to trap yourself, buy a trap and use sardines. Drip some of the sardine juice as you would a scent trail from where you think the raccoons are coming from to the trap.

You might get a cat in there fyi. After you trap the raccoon(s) what you do with from that point is up to you. Your local humane society would probably dispose of them for you.

Buy a good live trap for around $30 if my memory is correct. All you need is one. Wait till fall when furbearer season opens up and start trapping them. Use sardines for bait. If you want, skin them out and sell the hides to pay for the trap. Problem solved.

Or find a local coon hunter or trapper to take care of the problem for you. Most of the time theyll do it for free just to get coons to train their dogs with or for the hides.

Good luck!

I've heard you should use fruit in the live traps and then you won't end up catching cats. Haven't tried that though.

I am the type of person who likes to do things like this myself so I'm going to do it one way or another and have some fun doing it. Just debating on what way to do it so I dont get "caught" or get in trouble.

ORIGINAL: gutshot

Why don't you just get one of those wire live traps and catch them and then take somewhere and transplant them.
Some states this is illegal and can only be done by a certified animal control officer or your local wildlife C.O.

Disease control.. Prevents the "possible" spread of rabies.

I am not a coon hunter, but have had more than a few run-ins with them, have lived in Coon Rapids Minnesota for the past 8 years and have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

i wonder if it would be legal to hook the dumpster up to some electricty. That would prolly keep them away and pretty funny to watch.
