Default Tree stand

I was just curious about what hieght everyone hunts from i thier stand. I like to hunt from about 15 to 20feet up in the tree. Depending on weather conditions and amount of brush in the area i hunt.

I say 12-20 feet depending on the tree, cover and type of stand.

Some people (for some reason) equate treestand height to hunting prowess.

Just get as high as it takes to take advantage of thermals.......get sufficient cover......and stay safe.

Good luck.

I like about 12ft to 20 ft although sometimes a little higher or lower is what you need.I have seen 30ft but I got a nose bleed and the tree was blowing in the breeze like a mast on a sailboat.
At most of the places I sit if I go much higher than 15ft I am really cutting down on my shooting lanes. I guess it just depends on where you hunt.

Just remember that at 3ft or 30ftyah gotta strap yourself in!!!!

I shoot for 20 feet, give or take depending on cover, shooting lanes, etc.

It depends on the cover, natural shooting lanes and the terain.Normally 20 ft give or take.In the early season it can be tough to get that high with all of the leaves.

For me it depends on where the best cover is. If it is 12 feet then that is where I go. If it is 20 then I go there. Heck if I think I have a better chance on the ground then that is where I am going.

It all depends on the terrain and cover. I like hunting around 20 ft. , altho I hunted one stand last year at 10 ft.. due to the cover of the trees
