Default How Big?

How much do you think he weighs? As a point of reference the marks he left on the tree with is claws were about 6' above the ground.

Thats a really hard pic to tell from, but from what I can see it looks like around a 175#-200# bear, I am judging by his ears, they seem pretty large compared to his head which usually indicates that it is a younger/smaller bear.

I agree with buck magnet, that bear is maybe 225 at best, i've seen some bear and i got two 430's at home and a 250 at the cottage and he seems a little smaller than the cottage bear i have

He would be lucky to beat 200lbs. That's a young bear, I'd say 175ish.

Put a scale at the bottom on the tree next time. Use one of those digital ones that have a seperate read out that you can put on the tree...above 6'.

That is definatley a young bear. Buck Magnet is probably really close to the live weight.

Unless its a big bear with really really big ears, I would say 175lbs.
