RE: Breakfast?

Nothing beats grits on a cold morning. Dump a couple of packs in a bowl, drop a couple of pieces of bread in the toaster, down some juice and I'm good. I take trail mix, granola bars, homemade jerky, water (Propel), and whatever I can find to go in my pack for snacking during the day. I will carry a sandwich, usually PB&J, and some chips for lunch. I unwrap everything and put them in ziplock bags so they are quiet.

Happy Hunting

I can't make a choice..... I never eat breakfast. I don't know why, but I'm never hungry in the morning.

Don't ask me why, but it's different for deer season vs. spring turkey. Probably because I'm hunting with friends during Spring turkey and bow season is more of a solo thing or I'm meeting someone after breakfast.

Anyway, for deer season, it's a glass of milk with a couple spoonfuls of instant coffee stirred in consumed while driving to my spot. For turkeys, it's coffee and and good, nutritious cereal.

I mostly eat on the go driving to the hunt, either sandwiches or other easy-to-eat-while-driving food.

Oatmeal seems to stick with me the longest so that is usually how I start the moring.

Sometimes, we'll just go to Kroger or something, and buy a big strudel like thing from the bakery section, GooOOOD!!!!

Or, when we're near the lease, we stop by Hardee's, and get biscuit breakfastsandwiches, yummo!
