IF only he would hunt outside of the pen, thenI would like him, but he talks about the spirit of the wild in a pen. Something just doesnt add up herewith the words wild and pen. Ted can rock like no one else though.

I think its time to put this TED thing to rest. Lets see so far there have been at least 3 post about Ted. Everyone has their opinion. We should all just agree to disagree. Last year was the same way, TED this TED that. New subject please...

Uncle Ted's a pretty cool guy. Listen to the guy talk, he sounds like a friggin poet. That aside I do think he's pretty good for hunting. He does tell it like it is. But the comment that you're not a true hunter if you dont like Uncle Teddy is silly.

Sry but if u dont like ted your not a true hunter because he is the best influence there could possibly be. And hes in love with mother nature and trys to get all the young and old to hunt.

All I need to know about Ted Nugent is that at an elk expo here in Pa I was standing beside a mentaly challenged individual while Ted went out about "retards".... that pretty much put him in a bad light to me [:@] I spent time voluntering at the Special Olympics while they were here at IUP campus and I helped alot of great people who enjoyed the entire experience no matter what their limitaions were. To here him go on and upset this individual besie me was ridiculous and no where near a good representation of our sport! [:@]

Wow, that kind of surprises me about Ted. But not really, because that is what you get with Ted. You never know what is going to come out of him. I really think he has some mental problems to some extent. He used to have a pro shop in this area for a while, so many around here have met him.
And yes, it is really me. If you read enough of my posts you will see I don't have any problems giving my opinions
. None of it is ever personal though. If you like that song that is great, but me personally I don't care for it. I do like a few of his others though, Strangle Hold. Love that song.
As far as the Tom Selleck thing, no I don't think he bow hunts, I'm not even sure he hunts to be honest. However he is a gun advocate and a really down to earth person for his level of success. I have met him once when I lived in California. I guess he owned a house in that area and I didn't know it. The people that were from around there said he was a great guy, just wanted to be treated like everyone else.
Somebody doesn't have to bow hunt for me to have some respect for them. And the fact that someone does bow hunt doesn't automatically gain my respect.

I'll say it again. Unless you're a close personal friend of Ted, how do you know what kind of guy he is - idiot or coolest guy alive? He's an entertainer and a good one at that - in music and hunting. Past that, I couldn't offer any "jugement" one way or the other. And as for high-fence hunting, I used to be on that high horse as well. But my views have changed in terms of larger hunting ranches that don't equate to shooting pens. While I wouldn't equate them with hunting the wilderness or pass it off as that, it would still be a lot of fun given the right situations. A perfect example being how I was in Hawaii for work and had the chance to hunt a 700 acre fenced ranch for sikka bucks for a very reasonable price. I turned it down because of the fence but now wished I had done it. Again, just because you're not being Grizzly Adams hunting for survivial in the wilderness doesn't mean you can't have a good time. You just don't pass yourself off as the great big hunter of the wildlands for doing it.

He was cool until I watched an episode where he was shooting fawns in the neck and laughing. He said "I know what all you guys at home are saying, the Nuge is a fawn killer. Well, a deer is a deer and this is deer management at it's finest".
