40 right now, but I would'nt say I'm comfortable with it. I hope that by the time the season comes I'll be more than comfortable.

RE: Your comfort range?
I am more than comfortable out to 45..dont like shooting past 35 though unless its my only shot i think ill get & sometimes not even then.
I do hold a group in side a paper plateout at 75 yrds regularly If your dead nuts at say 50 or 60yds then that big boy at 25 should be a chip shot...:D |
RE: Your comfort range?
40 yards. I have a 50 yard pin and would take the shot if I had time to range etc. It doesn't take that arrow much longer to go 50 yards than it does 35 or 40. That said, I wish I had a dollar for every shot opportunity at 35 and 40 that I passed up thinking I would get a better or slam dunk shot...... and ended up with no shot. That's hunting.[8D]

RE: Your comfort range?
I have an HHA OL 5500 on my bow with marks out to 90 yds. and practice at that range on a regular basis. Having said that, and to echo what others have said, my preference is to never move it past 30yds. in the stand. I would much rather have them right on top of me, that is where the rush comes from. I would say the longest shot I would even think of taking on a deer would be 50 yds. and conditions would have to be absolutely perfect.
