Does anyone have anything special they do before they go out? things like Put the left sock on before the right no matter what?? anything like that?
I know some of you freaks got some weird stuff you do dont ya. lol

Well, I rub cocoa butter all over my buttocks and then buttermilk on the soles of my feet before heading to my stand. I also like to take a dip of copenhagen and get it really worked up on my way to my hunting spot and right before I climb my tree I swallow the whole dip. Then when I get in my stand I spray down with essence of Doe in menopause spray.

Did you drink the deer Pee too? its good get you really buzzed, wash down that dip dip dipperoo haha man you guys do some weird stuff, i like to make sure all my oddcolor vanes are the same direction lol idk thats not as bad as the arrow whisperer.

I pick the arrow I will be shooting early on. This year I picked it the day I bought my new bow. I also wear my lucky underwear on opening morning. My wife has been telling me she is going to throw them away for over2 years now!:D

No matter how much I forget during day to day life.... somehow on opening morning, I always remember to say a prayer and give thanks!

I will hunt with exactly the same arrow every time on stand until I have taken an animal.

I usually just try to wake up and find my tree in the dark without poking an eye out or making lots of noise. That's my only ritual.[8D]

If he's a REAL coonass, he don't like deer pee on his breath. He gargles with skunk scent instead. [8D]

My little ritual is both simple and practical. The night before I hunt, I always sit down in my easy chair with all my broadheads and huntin' knives and give them all a lick on an extra hard arkansas stone and then strop them to a keen edge.

I have a lucky pair of boxers with cartoon deer on them I wear when I hunt.

When I leave camp in the morning we put our hands to our heads, at the thumbs. With one hand our fingers face up and the other facing down........ means wait for a gnarly one. I also pick the arrow that I'm going to use way B4 the season starts, and yes all the cock vanes facing out.

Ok, I can understand about everything except maybe the deerpee....
But do you guys do anything after you had a succesfull kill ?
I would say thank you to which ever god that it is you pray to and thank the deer for giving up his life......

I know some people tie the deer's sack to a branch or something. I usually just throw it at my brother and tell him its good luck to be hit by nuts in the face.

Oh and we dont shoot cats, thier just bad luck to kill.

i number my arrows 1 through 4 before the season starts. also on the first moring me and my buddies get together and have a beer at 3:30, stupid i know

Pretty good stuff, I also Gargle with Skunk in rut before i leave in the morning, rather refreshing, I do like to pick my arrow WAY before the season and make sure i dont beat it up or anything, it stays in my bedroom till i shoot it to make sure it flies the same, Other Than that, i have undies and socks i HAVE to wear if not it puts a hoax on the whole season.

We always tap the Ted Nugent "Give 'em the BLADE!!" sticker on the lockers adjacent to the cabin door on our way out. Have been known to drive back and tap it after forgetting.

After the kill I always put a small cedar branch in the deer's mouth and offer thanks to God for the life of the animal that will now give life to me and my family. ( I think I read that in an old Fred Bear book, it comes from an old German deer hunting tradition. I thought it was cool so I adopted it myself.)

I start out with one good arrow in the beginning of the season and will shoot it through as many deer as it will last through. If it breaks or I cant recover it only then do I use a different primary arrow.

your broadhead gets duller everytime it passes through a deer. Not to mention if you get a pass through it'll end up in the ground or a tree. I always hunt with a brand new broadhead. When I shoot a deer it becomes a practice broadhead and I move to the next one.
