Has anyone read any of Dr. James Kroll's books. They are really expensive but the books like they may bea good read.
He has Producing and Harvesting White-Tailed Deer, Patterning Whitetails, Solving the Mysteries of Deer Movement, Aging and Judging Trophy Whitetails, and there are more.

I have read so many, and there are many that are excellent. Of the books already listed there are only a few I havn't read.I would add Bowhunting Trophy Whitetails by Bobby Worthington as a must read.
Anything by Gene Wensel is a great read,Patrick Durkin's book was a real practical deer hunting book.Books by Richard Bernier are excellent! That man is a tracker and writes with such heartfelt passion you can't put his books down.Bryce Towsley's books about the Benoits (famous Vermont trackers) are excellent.
As a bowhunter if you read and applied the information from Joe Brooks and Don Higgins books you wouldn't have to go any further.
