Default Loyalty Or Low Price?

I was looking at the Summit Openshot, theres a local hunting store wich sells a lot of stuff that has it, and its 190 bucks.. now im willing to spend that BUT should i ask my archery shop how much they can get it for i doubt it will be as cheap i like everyone at my bowshop and id rather do busieness with them so far ive never had a problem. Im going to pay more if i go with them is the thing. So should i save money and just buy the one at the store? OR should i ask them to order it and give them the busieness and pay more? I dont know what to do.
Ryan.

Personally i would get it and install it myself if your capeable of doing it. If not it might be worth the extra few bucks to have the pro shop order it for you and set it up. Thats really what you pay a little extra for anyway is their expertise in setting up your rig with the equipment you purchase from them...

If it's archery specific items, then I think loyalty to the shop and helping keep the doors open is worth a little extra. When it comes to general hunting supplies though, like treestands, then I shop around.

I'm assuming that's a stand or something un-bow-shop-related.

You can always ask.. Hey I was thinking of buying XXXX and it costs $$$$ if you can match or beat that I'd rather buy off you.

Shop Owners are consumers too, they understand the need to shop around, on things that are out of their wheel-house.

I always ask my bow shop owner if he can get if for me. I always look at it like this.....

Is the little bit I'd (possibly) be saving worth it for me to have to drive 30 minutes extra to get ANY archery related item (if my shop owner shuts his doors).

Yeah....I'm a customer....but his shop benefits me as much as I do him.

I've bought, there (things he doesn't stock):

Binocluars
3 summit stands
1 lone wolf stand w/ steps
DB Matrix blind
Predator Camo
2 Game Cameras
2 Feeders
3 Summit Climbing Systems
etc...
etc...
etc...

For many people price is king. Our economy is primarily built on that.

But most reasonable people will pay a little more for good friendly service and to contribute
to a local shop. The key is they will pay a little more. It also depends like Arthur said on what
you are getting. Buying a deer stand is a lot different to me than buying a new bow.
