I think I may have a problem.
Well I think I may have a problem this year.....As I was scouting a peice of our property lastnight I was terrified of what I saw. As some of you may recall from last years gun season, we went buckless......for the first time in 40 years. I knew this may be a bad thing this year but I wasnt quite expecting what I saw......I saw a great group of deer 9 to be exact.......heres the kicker........7 were nice respectable bucks...the biggest being at least a 8-12 pointer, it was kinda hard to see in lower light......So yesterdays ratio gives us a 7:2 buck to doe ratio.......usually its the other way around. I think this may be a problem come the rut......How will I ever chose.....

I don't think you will have a problem. Those bachelor groups will break up as it gets closer to fall. Probably not a realistic estimate on the buck to doe ratio due to the bucks grouping up.
At least you know there are some decent bucks in the area, good luck with this season.

Ratio wise, that single sighting doesn't represent an accurate sample of the deer on your property. The way bucks run together this time of year, it is not uncommon to see more of them because they are really putting on the feed bag. Either way, I think you should have a fine season, you know there are least 7 around!
