Default Question for Mathews bow owners

Do you like the grip that came on your bow?

I hunted last year (almost all of the season) with my '05 Switchback. I think the Mathews grip is really the only thing about the bow I didn't like. What made me ask is.....I hear this a lot.....and you'd think Mathews would listen to their customers.

So....if you own one....or have owned one.....did you/do you like the grip?

My uncle has 2 matthew's, I've shot them both, and yes I like the grips. But I like bigger grips, they fit my fat hands better and are more comfortable to shoot for me. I personally have a Sims wrap with the pokey things on my grip, and I like it. My dad has a Hoyt with little bitty grips and they dont feel as good in my hands...

I have shot them and hated them. Too easy to torque!

I too have fat hands and like the grip on the matthews. I felt a bowtech and it felt too skinny. I liked the feel of the bowtech, just liked the matthews a little better.

Actually, I didn't mind the stock grip. I did find that the Torque Less grips were a big improvement, however. Very nice quality and fast shipping.

Im just the opposite, with skinny grips I tend to want to "grab" harder and torque to keep it from slipping outta my hand... With bigger grips I can relax my hand better and shoot without torquing it.

They suck!
1. Heat up the grip with a hairdryer. 2. Pull off the grip. 3. Turn on oscillating drum sander and go crazy. 4. Lacquer it up. 5.Glue it back on and you have a nice new grip.

Mine looks just like the pic above, without the fancy colors.

I quickly replaced mine with shrewd......but my son loves the stock grip.

I just have heard grip issues a lot. Maybe its not that much of an issue. Seems 50/50.

I shot a Switchback LD today (just killing some time at the proshop) and I liked the stock grip. If I were to buy a Mathews bow I would keep the grip just as it is.
