I can get an 05 Ultratec w/ Winners Choice Strings & cable slide with side plates & full grip or a Bear Truth w/ sight & rest for about the same price.

I havent ever shot either of them but its not our decision its yours. The only way you can find out which one YOU like is by shooting them, A BUNCH!

THe Truth is a bow that doesn't get the respect it deserves, great bow, especially for the price. My buddy shoots and UltraTec and really likes it. I would have to go the with Truth, based on the fact that it is a new bow, and I think will be easier to sell if you decide to upgrade again, since it is a 2007, and 2005 by next year, will sound really old!

After fit comes comfort. It's important because you'll always shoot better andget more enjoyment from shootingwith a bow that's comfortable. So, which is more comfortable for you to shoot? Grip, draw characteristics, recoil and shock, physical weight, balance... taking all those into account, which of them feels more 'right' to you? That's the one.

Hoyt's fit, finish and overall quality plus the incredibly well respected reputation that the UltraTec has earned as one of the most accurate bow rigs in the world against a Bear..... the coice should be an easy one.

Good luck and good shootin'

The truth is pretty new, alittle to early to judge it against the hoyt yet. I do know my bear instinct shoots alot nicer than my old hoyt magnatec

I never shot the Truth but I have a Fred Bear Code and if it shoots anything like the FB Code then I would have to say Bear all the way. I have shot a lot of bows over the years and I'm very impressed with this bow....more and more everytime I shoot it.
