My wife is pumped about it. The only reason being, this is the first year for me taking my son and her being a stay at home mom is excited about the time alone. Which I can understand. My son is now 5 and cant wait to go hunting with daddy.

My wife knows the dates almost as well as I do. She always looks forward to the couple of weeks that I'm gone as her little vacation time without having to go anywhere. She goes to work the gym and home and gets to have the tv to herself and the bed as well and she has always looked forward to the start of the season. Just lucky I guess!

mannnn i dont think marriage is cut out for me:D

right now is PRE-archery season. making sure the bow is good n tuned, shooting every day, just got done painting treestands, securing land permission, on to stand prep in the woods, then come september i will be scouting my new areas that i never hunted before. there aint no time for a hunny-do list!!! glad i aint married. i take my time and do things at my own pace. i even clean up after myself so mom doesnt have anything to yell about:D

now....the girlfriend knows its coming. she knows Sunday is about the only day to see me. we both goto school all week. once the weekend is here i hunt at home friday evening and all day Saturday. she aint lookin forward to it. "sorry hunny! i gotta get to bed! 430am comes quick!!"

I feel bad for the guys that have to worry about the wife getting mad.....My wife knows it and can't wait to do some hunting herself.

My wife knows and doesnt give me any lists or anything like that. Before we tied the knot she knew I was a hunter. I told her I was a hunter before I met her and I'll be a hunter when were married. She accepts it and thats cool. She would rather have me hunting than out at a bar hunting other things hehehehe:D

Got a second baby on the way in early December, so I'm going to be putting in some hours in
the early season (the seasons run late here - until Feb. 15 for archery).

FUNNY THAT THIS CAME UP TWO WEEKS AGO I PUT SOME CAMERAS OUT. WHEN I RETURNED HOME SHE ASK WHEN I WOULD START WASHING MY HUNTING CLOTHES. WHEN I ASK HER WHY SHE SAID THAT WHEN I START SHOOTING MY BOW MORE THEN USUAL AND PUT THE CAMERAS OUT HUNTING SEASON IS NEAR. I GUESS THIS IS WHY WE HAVE BEEN TOGATHER FOR 12 YEARS. THIS YEAR ON HER BIRTHDAY SHE HAS AGREEDED TO GOING TO BASS PRO SHOP IN NASHVILLE SO ME AND MY SON CAN ATTENDED SOME OF THE SEMIARS.

My wife never forgets that it is coming, no matter what month it is!!! Turkey to goose to deer to ducks to goose to....... she just doesnt know whats next!!!!!

Mine knows and she is already sick of hearing about it this time of year hunting is all I think about she can't wait tell it starts so I will shut up about it most women just don't understand the piece we men get out in the woods all by ourselves in a tree. But know I have my 7 yr old daughter who shot her first deer lst yr at 6 she's pumped up for rifle season but that is a different story in its self

My wife "bless her heart" knows..cuz she drives my gimpy azz around at dusk to see and scout deer. Since I can't get out and do it myself! She suggests it as often as I do now!

Mine certainly does, and she is excited too, since she hunts. But, she told me that I have to wait unitl Aug.1 to go really crazy, as far as being non-responsive when hunting is on TV and only talking about it, and constantly sorting my camo and staring at my bow and things of that nature...luckily its July 23, so not much longer to wait!

I started talking about this bow season the day after last season ended. So, my wife definitely knows. At this point I think she just wants it to get started (not as much as I do though).

My wife and I have the same argument every year. She always wants to go away for her birthday Oct 10 and I have to keep reminding her from the 3rd weekend in September to the end of December just plan on me being 1.At work or 2. Hunting. Last year she won the argument but this year I told no way and told her to celebrate her birthday in early September.So she knows.

Mine WILL have my gear all layed out for me and a hot breakfast on the table. The truck will be warm and full of fuel. If I awake feeling frisky then gosh darnit that will get taken care of too! That's just the way I roll. Well, a guy can dream can't he? :D

I am getting ready earlier than he is!!! He has a Colorado trip (elk w/muzzleloader) and a W. Texas trip (whitetails w/bow) planned out so I get all his great hunting spots BEFORE he gets a chance at them!!!!!!!!!!! Color me ready to go NOW!!!

She will have you convinced that hunting mule deer in the mountains is the greatest thing ever.

I thought my wife liked camping when I met her.

My wife is fully aware that I am untouchable for at least the three openers (bow, firearms and ML) every year, and busy hitting the woods for mornings and evening otherwise. Of course she always attempts to scheduled me out of ML opener (Saturday after Thanksgiving) every year. I have been "banking" hours with her, as she has had a couple out of town overnights with her friends and other activities.
We will have blast-off of our second daughter right around the end of the first week of October though, so will likely have a slow hunting week that week. ;):D

When I shot my buck last year Mrs. Hemry could not get out to farm fast enough to take pictures:D

I always have meeting at the begging of the summer to list our projects and what we(she) wantsdone. I make sure all is done and ready. No worries, and yes I married UP:D In 11 years of marriage I have never heard, your going hunting again. Last year she schedule a scrap book weekend at the end of Oct. I made mention about me hunting, she said my bad and cancled the weekend:D God I love that woman

I will say we are in negotions about my daughter sitting in a tree with me this year[8D]

Yea she know, (not wife, long time girlfriend) in fact she help me put up a couple stands, two game cameras, and a feeder yesterday. she was happy to help to. i guess after almost 5 years she figured she cant get me out of the woods so she might as well join me.

Yes, Rachel knows, and she keeps reminding me of what is left to do before it gets here.

I don't know which is better, the fact that she had no objection to our planning our son's birth around hunting season, or the fact that part of the reason she didn't object is because she is as big a football fan as me.:D
