Default Going to shoot some 5spot **Updated Score**

I'm going to take my rig out tonight to the shop and shoot a 5spot round for my first time. Not really sure how to keep score, shop owner is going to help me with that, but we'll see. I'll post up the target when I get back. (If it isn't too bad)

It's 5 arrows per circle isn't it? 25 arrows total? Or how many is it.

12 ends of 5 arrows, 1 arrow at each target on the face. Total of 60 shots.

White = 5 (be sure to count X's as 5, and record your X count)

Blue = 4

Anything out of the blue rings is a big fat goose egg......

Its fun. I am hoping to get into some 5 spot tourneys and 3d tourneys soon around here. Mobow hit the nail on the head, itsvery simple.

So anything in the white is an X?

Anything in the white is a 5. Anything in the X is still a 5, but you count X's too.

If you are touching the line, you count the higher score. So for example if you just barely touch the x line, it is a 5x. If you are just touching the white, it is a 5, etc........

If it touches the line it goes to the higher score. Spot shooting is alot of fun and a good way to practice your form.

Thanks guys. I'm not expecting too much with this long DL and haven't had too much time with the bow, but I'm still excited!

I have to say this spot thing IS going to be addicting. I shot 286 23x, which I was more than happy with since I was jerking the trigger a little and the DL is a little too long. I'm going to go tommorow and get the DL right and then shoot some more. I think the DL change will help tremendously.

When you think you are good at 5 spot and get cocky switch to vegas targets, there are only three but they are smaller.
