Default Homemade Feeder

I made two of these feeders about a week ago, they each hold 25lbs of corn. The downside is that they were completely cleaned out in 6 days. I will probably keep them filled about 3 weeks prior to opening day. They work great and only cost about $4.50 in materials.

i have some like that but at the bottom use some angled PVC pipe and me it into a J. also you can take a trash can and cut 4 holes in the bottom corners and skrew it to a peice of plywood and fill it with corn. that works as well. it is pretty redneck but what can you expect im from east texas

I did this a few years ago (PVC feeder) to get more trailcam pics in spring in MN (removed well before archery season started) but it was like a damn woodland jamboree - racoons, squirrles, skunks, possums AND some deer all feasting together on camera. The corn was gone in two days and the racoons trashed the feeder after that, ripping it to the ground and scratching the heck out of my camo paint job. [:@]Now I just use good old fashioned salt and mineral licks and get a nice amount of pics.

The hogs would have any of them ripped to bits in no time.

I don't bother with corn because it brings the birds and the squirrels. I wish I could come up with one for sugar beets or carrots.
