Well I'm not the only one going to be shooting does. My stepdad is going to try to take a couple and our neighbors are aswell.

As far as a mature buck. The mark we usually set is 6pt or better. To put my goals within reason, iI'd be happy with a 3 1/2+ year old.
That's awesome that you guys are willing to do your part in QDM! Congrats and thanks for that!

Also, if "shooters" on your property have previously been yearlings with 6pt racks than a 3 1/2 would certainly qualify as "mature"... best of luck to ya. Also, perhaps your dedication and/or success will inspire the old men to up the bar and set some goals for themselves as well. I'd kill the guy who would dare shoot a 6 pointer off my property! [:-]

Best of luck to ya bud, I hope to see some pix from you this Fall.

1.Shoot my first elk in September in Alberta.
2. Shoot 2 bucks over 150" with one being a booner.
3. Have a ton of fun and not get caught up and feel pressured.

Man its gonna be a great year.:D

First and foremost...Have fun.

I want a gator in the worst way...something over ten feet. The bow and I will be in Florida the end of August.

I'll be back in Colorado for archery antelope, bear, deer, elk, and Mt. goat. The two goats are the animals I'm really bowing for. 3 out of 5 would suffice.

I'd like to add two mature deer from different states-I'mon aquest for a deer in every state. Nebraska, Texas, Illinios are, for sure, on theschedule.

I'll be archery hunting Q-L Caribou in Quebec at the end of November. One decent representation of the species would be nice.

I would consider a Rio Grandeturkeyor wolf an added bonus. My eyes will be wide open for either.

That's the difference here Cornfed. A "normal" 2yr old here is a 6pt. There is usually ALOT of 2yr old 6pts seen throughout the course of the year. I killed one last year. Where they go from 2yr to 3yr is beyond me. I personally saw only 2 deer 3.5 or older last year and now one of them is on my neighbors wall. The other is a brute, you've heard me talk about him more than once I'm sure.
