Default Anybody see Pat Reeves show, last night?

I didn't want to hijack Greg/MO's thread.......but I also saw the best show I've seen all year, last night.

They profiled a buck that Pat had been hunting for a few years. The footage showed:

1. Interviews with the landowner
2. Still photos of the buck (named Moses)
3. Game Cam photos of the buck
4. Video of the buck
5. Discussion of stand placement and strategies used to hunt him
6. Video of him from stand
7. Hunting footage of Pat arrowing him
8. Footage of the attemt at recovery
9. Shed recoveries from year to year
10.Photos of the buck after Pat had arrowed him
11.Story of how the buck was taken
12. Footage of when the buck was butchered....showing the wound Pat had inflicted....and what happened.

I thought it had it ALL.

edit: The buck was actually taken with a rifle....a yearafter Pat arrowed it.

I saw the show and the whole time Im sitting there thinking they were just building up to Pat taking Ol Moses. I was suprised that they showed that he hit the buck and didnt kill him. It was a nice change of pace from, buck comes in, hunter shoots him, show recovery, end of story. I thought it was great how they profiled the buck and told the whole story. I also really like the segment on the show where they tell all the factors that went into hunting where and how they did. I think Pat has a winner with this show. The only thing I dont like about the show is the theme music. That has to be the worst hunting showopening song that I have ever heard. Overall I give it 2 thumbs up!!!

Boy, I wish my cable company offered the outdoor channel. All I have is versus(like I am interested in watching the tour defrance)and the sportsman channel. Sounds like there are some good shows on there.

Drive 24/7 is Pat's show. My best friend is Mark Wimpy's cameraman, and he actually got to see Moses in velvet the year he was shot. What am amazing deer. That show was incredible I thought too, all the footage of the buck, the story, the shot, just awesome.

I watched the show last night. I thought Pat had made a perfect shot too. Just goes to show the importance of shot placement. You just never know...

He shoots a low poundage bow, about 55 pounds, and I think that definitely played a part here, with a little more wallop, I think that deer would be on his wall. No question either way though that it was a fluke deal with it riding along the ribs and never even entering the cavity.

Yikes. My very first deer with a bow was a passthru. 45lbs @ 25" draw, 330 grain arrow. Was it a hard quartering angle or something?

It was a pretty hard angle and a fluke, pretty much no way you would think it could happen. Just a complete fluke.
