You will not be disappointed with your choice. I also chose the BI after shooting several other bows, and I believeI made the right decision. Very little hand shock, very quiet, and I believe it's quite fast, I'm shooting out to 50 yds w/ considerable less drop than I had from my PSE. As a hunting bow I believe the BI is as good as it gets, because of its light weight and characteristics named above. Just out of curiosity, what accessories do you plan on dressing her up w/?

DRDeath,
I sold my Switchback to make room for the Black Ice.
It's going to be my hunting bow of choice this year.
I don't have a single thing to say that i would change about
the B.I. You won't be dissapointed.

I know what you are saying about the excitment.
Because of a few personal issues I haven't been excited about a hunting season in about four years. I bought my bow a few months ago and can not wait to get out in the woods next month.
