What are you guys going to do differantly this year than previous years to become a more succesful bow hunter? I am going to hunt the wind. In previous years I would hunt the "hot stand" regardless of wind direction. This year I wont hunt a certain stand if the wind isnt right. I am also going to keep my cool when shooting a deer. I used to get so excited I would pull back put the pin on the deer and shoot. This year I am going to take my time and settle my pin on his lungs and release. Bring on bow season!

Well since I'll be away at college, I won't have nearly as much time to hunt as I did this last year. However when I do get a chance, I'm going to try more all day sits, and see what bucks are moving during mid-day.

Last year I didn't get to practice as much as I wanted. I am a firm believer that practicing will not only contribute to a better shot but will also build ones confidence with his/her bow. Confidence leads to calmness which leads to success when the time comes to make the shot. I am going to practice, practice and practice some more.
Great question by the way!

I'm going to spend more time on stand. I have a terrible habit of blowing off a hunt because of rain or wind. But my buddies have taken some nice bucks while hunting both conditions. I blow off bad weather telling myself the deer won't move....not anymore.
