How long to check cam 1st time out?

Its been a week tonight that i set a trail cam out. Its the 1st one I've set outside of my own back yard. I'm wondering how long is normal to let one set when you are unsure of how good a location it will be.

Yea I don't like roaming my areas, so I put it in a plce I don't really hunt near and can get in and out easy. More of a curiosity thing.

I check mine quite frequently because they are easily accessible. Is your camera just on a trail or is it on a food source/minerals/etc.?
I would probably give it another week then check it out and see if your getting any good results...

Bout a week and a half to two weeks.
During hunting season I tend to pull mine out of the woods. Some people say that the flash won't spook a deer, but I've seen other wise. The last thing I want is a nice mature buck coming into my area and only get spooked onto a neighboring farm or hunting club.
